The Genderless Iran

This video explores how being nonbinary is far from unusual when viewed through the lens of language. English once had gendered nouns and dropped them, while Persian once marked gender in its pronouns but evolved into a language without gender distinctions at all. By showing how languages adapt over time, the video makes the case that nonbinary identities fit naturally into human history and culture—proving that what feels “new” is actually part of a much older pattern.
